Vivian F. (Orndorf) Young

LOCK HAVEN - Vivian F. (Orndorf) Young, 79 of Avis, died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore. She was born October 5, 1931 in Lock Haven a daughter of the late Ralph and Ella (Bowmaster) Orndorf. Vivian was married to Charles H. Young for 44 years who died in 1992. She worked at the former Davis Restaurant. Vivian was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lock Haven. She volunteered at S.T.E.P. offices for lunches. She loved to play Bingo and Pokeno and loved to do plastic canvas stitchery. Vivian loved family time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her dog Skippy. Surviving are three sons Charles A. Bud Young of Avis, Gary L. (Patti) Young of Lock Haven and Richard R. (June) Young of Brooksville, FL Two daughters Connie (Todd) Hildreth of Brooksville, Fl and Bonnie Kelchner of Avis. Twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Two brothers Domer (Jan) Orndorf of Mechanicsburg and Jack (Eva) Orndorf of Lock Haven. Two sisters Jeannette Eck of Woolrich and Linda (Ron) Fenton of Lock haven. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Stanley E. Young, one sister and a brother also a grandson Timothy. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Tom Grove officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel one-hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.
