Virginia (Simcoe) Inman

WEST BURLINGTON, PA- Virginia (Simcoe) Inman, 86, of Troy, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Lyle D. Inman who passed away on July 9, 2002. The couple married August 5, 1943, and had 58 happy years together. Services will be private and at the convenience of Virginia's family. Burial will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Virginia was born on January 3, 1924 in Springfield Twp., PA, daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Parmenter) Simcoe. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1941. Virginia started working at GTE Sylvania in 1960 and retired from there in 1985. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, the Troy Grange, and was active with the Troy Farm Museum. Family was foremost in Virginia's life. Her family includes her children: Janet (Glenn) Shuman of Lewisburg, PA, June (Ernest Jr.) Scott of Troy, PA, and Raymond (Donna) Inman of Meadville, PA, her grandchildren: Donald (Aimee) Scott, Brenda (Eric) Semke, Kristen (Kevin) Williams, Michael Inman, and Matthew Inman, her great grandchildren: Christopher Scott, Paige Scott, Luke Semke, Zach Semke, and Mia Semke, her sisters Ina (Bob) Schucker of Troy, PA, and Lucile Baxter of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, and her brother Larry (Marlane) Simcoe of Troy, PA, several nieces and nephews, and her special friends Pee Wee Stringham and Steve Decker. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, her sister Mary Esther Van Horn, and her brother Charles (Faye) Simcoe.
