Virginia (Newton) Roberts

WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA- Virginia Louise (Newton) Roberts, 93, of West Covina, California, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at her home. Born in Warsaw, Virginia on September 11, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Newton Harris. She attended school in Warsaw and Washington D.C. and was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Upton Roberts and brother Junius Jackson. Surviving is a cousin, Bernice Cross, West Covina, California. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Deacon Francis Bradigan will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
