DALLASTOWN- Virginia May (Ketterman) Beck, 91, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Beck, Sr. to whom she was married 50 years until Charles' passing in 1996. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin St., Jacobus, with her Pastor, Reverend Kevin L. Becker officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born April 20, 1925 in York, Virginia was a daughter of the late John Jacob and Beatrice Naomi (Bupp) Ketterman. She worked for many years as a secretary, then in the cafeteria for Dallastown Area School District, and then as a home healthcare aid. Virginia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and singing in the church choir. Mrs. Beck is survived by four sons, Charles L. Beck, Jr., John Beck and his wife Lola in Red Lion, Gary Beck and his wife Mary-Ellen of Seven Valleys, and Barry Beck of New Freedom; two daughters, Frances Pugh of Richmond, VA and Jennifer Beck-Wilson and her husband Hank of Fairfax, VA; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Beck and several brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin Street, Jacobus, PA 17407.
