Virginia M. (Landis) Yessler

Dover—Virginia M. (Landis) Yessler, 89, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Normandie Ridge Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Yessler. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 9, 1927 in York, she was a daughter of the late Ervin E. and Arlein M. (Snyder) Landis. She was employed as a short order cook for several years at various restaurants throughout York County. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was an avid bingo player. Mrs. Yessler is survived by two daughters, Connie A. Mixon and her husband, James of Dover and Linda M. McAfee and her husband, Barry of Dover; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Lilley of FL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Lentz and one brother, Bud Landis.
