Virginia E. (Long) Ginter

DOVER - Virginia E. (Long) Ginter, 88, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Lewis F. Ginter to whom she was married for 47 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road with Rev. Brian McClinton officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Born May 26, 1922 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Sherman Long and the late Bernice Frampton, she retired from Wall Rope Manufacturing in Beverly, NJ. Mrs. Ginter enjoyed counting cross stitch, ceramics, gardening, and reading. She also loved to play board games with her daughter and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ginter is survived by five sons, Gary and wife Linda Landis and Lonnie and wife Mots Ginter both of York, Ronnie Ginter of Red Lion, Larry and wife Bess Ginter of Edison, NJ, and Tom and wife Sue Cunningham of Dover; three daughters, Margaret and husband Luke Ritchie of Robesonia, PA, Ruth and husband Herbert Hershman of Kileen, TX, and Chloe and husband Frank Hough of Benson, AZ; 23 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a brother in law, Eddie Zirkle of Kileen, TX; and a sister in law, Linda Thompson of Vero Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda C. Hart; and two sisters in law, Twila Ruth and Delores Rackley.
