YORK-Violet V. (Lehman) March, 85, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the loving wife of Walter H. March, Jr. of Harrisburg, formerly of York, for over 61 years in December. Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2007 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. W. Michael Langford officiating. Mrs. March was born October 12, 1921 in York. She was the daughter of Luther and Effie (Lightner) Lehman. She was a secretary for the Bowen-McGlaughlin company, for over 20 years until retirement in 1983. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in York, and was the former secretary at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in York. She also was a former volunteer at York Hospital. In addition to her husband, Walter, she also leaves a son, William Carroll March and wife Mary of Cape May, NJ, a daughter, LaDonna Zeller and husband Kent of Hummelstown, three grandchildren; Amy E. (March) Carr and husband Jason of York, William C. March, II and wife Leola of Dallastown, and Megan D. (Zeller) Clugh and husband David of Carlisle, two great grandchildren; Emma Carr of York, and Andrew James Sharp of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a grandson Andrew David Zeller on April 6, 1992 and three brothers.
