Violet O. Weaver

South Renovo - Violet O. Weaver, age 93, died at her residence on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008. She was born in Renovo on Oct. 27, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph M. and Cordie B. (Croak) Wertz. Violet was Methodist by faith, and was an excellent homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son: Daniel McGowan, who resided with, and was caregiver for her. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Denise Walker and Heather Hostrander, great grandchildren: Stephie, Joshua, Matthew, Stacia, Ashton, and Ty, and numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded by two husbands: Daniel McGowan and Leon Weaver, and one brother and one sister. There will be no calling hours or services for Violet as per her wishes.
