Violet Larase (Smith) Miller

YORK - Violet Larase Miller, 98 died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill, where she was a long time resident. She was the loving wife of the late C. Elwood Miller. Mrs. Miller was born November 28, 1910 in Windsor, a daughter of the late William Clarence and Bertha Irene Smith. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Miller was a member of York Gospel Center. Mrs. Miller is survived by her loving friends Jill Thompson and husband Roland and their son Joshua, Jere Matthews and wife Jere Shifflett, and Jay and wife Jane Matthews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joan Francis Robinson.
