Viola Mae (Stevenson) Mincer

SOUTH RENOVO - Viola Mae Mincer of Renovo, PA passed away February 20, 2014 at the age of 74 at Bucktail Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 31, 1940 in Renovo, PA to the late Orman and Anna (Russell) Stevenson. On June 22, 1957, she married Kenneth C. Mincer at the 7th Street Methodist Church in Renovo, PA. After she married they moved to Watertown, NY. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Viola was employed at Mary Ryans Nursing Home, Watertown, NY., The Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, NY., Eckerd Drug Store, FL., QMS, Casselberry, FL., and Walmart, Canasto, NY. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her brother Raymond (Bo) Pharis, PA, Kenneth (Goof) Stevenson, PA, Donald Stevenson, PA. and sisters Dorothy (Dort) Lewis PA, Marian (Meani) Botsford, PA. and Elizabeth (Shimp) Williams, PA. She will be forever missed by her surviving family which includes her ex-husband, Kenneth C. Mincer Sr., Mt. Dora, FL., brothers, Fred Pharis (Naomi) of Montoursville, Gerald (Joy) Stevenson and wife Glady, Renovo, PA., and SPECIAL twin sister, Violet (Wig) Boeding, Renovo, PA., daughters, Anna Mae Mincer, Apopka, FL., Ruth Mincer, Mt. Dora, FL., Carol Ruggiero, Sanford, FL., and son, Kenny C. Mincer of DeBary, FL., grandchildren Rachel Mae Gillett, Clay, NY., Sara Rebekah Tuttle, NC., Amanda Marie Hazzard, Altamonte Springs, FL., Kristen Leigh Jones, Mt. Dora, FL., Leah Simonelli and Cassie Simonelli both of Sanford, FL also a great granddaughter, Ava Marie Hazzard, Altamonte Springs, FL. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with the Rev. Mahlon Nevel officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at North Bend Cemetery.
