YORK - Victoria E. (Shutt) Slanker, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Luther D. Drawbaugh. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry, at 11 AM, with Pastor Robert Tomes officiating the service. There will be a visitation from 10- 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Parkville Cemetery. Born October 13, 1931 in York, Victoria was a daughter of the late Thomas Norman and Victoria M. Shutt. Victoria was a lifelong homemaker. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She loved dancing, country music, reading and cross-stitching. Victoria was a wonderful cook, especially classic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. Mrs. Slanker is survived by three sons, Robert Slanker of York, Thomas Slanker and his wife Deb of Strinestown and Douglas Drawbaugh of York; three daughters, Cathy Lubic and her husband Terry of New York, Cindy Christine and her husband Rick of York and Julie Potts of Mechanicsburg; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Mart Shutt of California, and a sister, Martha Brodbeck of York. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Slanker was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Slanker; a grandson, Scott Slanker, and three sisters, Ruth Shutt, Peg Brodbeck and Pat Frye.
