Veronica J. Kevy

Veronica J. "Roni" Kevy, 61 of Pottsville died Friday Morning at her residence. Born in Bronx, N.Y on January 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Lillian (Cappetta) Kevy. She graduated from Pottsville Area High School, and received two associate degrees from Penn State. She woeked for the former H.L. Miller & Son, Port Carbon and last worked for the Schuylkill Municipal Authority as a clerk. Ms. Kevy was a member of Saint Joseph Church, she was a past-president of the Penn State Schuylkill Club;Penn State Alumni Assocoiation; the Pottsville Kiwanis Club; and she was the Republican respresentative for Forest Hills. Ms. Kevy is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Kevy. Surviving are two sisters Phyllis C. Kevy, Pottsville and Myrna A., wife of William Everly, Port Carbon, PA, two nephews; one great-nephew and two great-nieces. Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Saint Joseph Church, Pottsville, PA. Friends may call at the church, Wednesday morning from 8:30 A.M.till time of Mass. There will be no calling hours Tuesday evening, and there will be no procession from the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., to the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
