North York- Vernetta A. (Grim) Fuhrman, 93, passed away on Wednesday August, 8, 2012 at Rest Haven. She was the wife of the late Theodore N. Fuhrman, who passed away on November 4, 2000. The couple had been married for 52 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Reverend Stephany S. Sechrist, a pastor at St Paul’s United Methodist Church, officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born on January 25, 1919 in Chanceford Twp., Vernetta was a daughter of the late Sterling H. and Alice L. (Barshinger) Grim. She worked as a Keypunch Operator for Caterpillar Inc. until her retirement in 1974. Mrs. Fuhrman was a life member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She was a member of Eastern Star #169, the Yorktowne Cedarettes, Sychar #36 and a member of the Caterpillar retirees. Mrs. Fuhrman is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marlet Grim; and two sisters, Mabel Miller and Esther Neff. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356.
