Velma M. Framstead

Dover—Velma M. (Tome) Framstead, 87, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her residence in Dover Township. She was the wife of the late Dewayne Framstead. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born December 17, 1930 in York, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Hilt) Tome. She was employed with the Meat Wrapper Union for 30 years and later worked in housekeeping at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Framstead is survived by one son, Douglas C. Haffner and his wife, Christine of Dover; 10 grandchildren, Caine, Carrie, Luke, Angela, Eric, Rebecca, Charles, Shane, Stephen and Ashley; 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; one brother, William Tome and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny C. Haffner; a daughter, Donna C. Malleg and five siblings, Anna, James, John, Betty and Mary.
