Velma K. (Williams) Pelkey

LOCK HAVEN - Velma K. (Williams) Pelkey, 93, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Susque-View. She was born March 9, 1922 in Lock Haven a daughter of Albert and Maude (Kessinger) Williams. Velma worked as a private duty nurse aide and Sylvania in Mill Hall. Her first husband LeRoy Sanders, Sr. her second husband Lee Bower and her third husband Fred Pelkey preceded her in death. She was a member of Flemington United Methodist Church. Velma also volunteered at the Lock Haven Hospital gift shop and at Susque-View. Surviving are her companion Dan Wolfe of Lock Haven and six sons Joe Sanders, Tom Sanders, William Sanders, Fred Sanders and Rich Sanders also five daughters Margaret Brungard, Debbi Rayls, Leora Reeder, Janet Summers, Delores Sanders. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive. One sister Loretta Quiggle of Lock Haven. A son Sam Sanders and a daughter Joan Miller preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Frank Hartzel officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at Dunnstown Cemetery.
