Vasant H. Jethwa

YORK- Vasant H. Jethwa, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Vinoda (Desai) Jethwa, who passed away on July 24, 2014. The couple wed in 1971. Mr. Jethwa was born January 6, 1936 in Diu, India. After graduating from Engineering College, he came to the U.S.A. for his Master’s Degree in Engineering in 1962 as a student at Bucknell University in Lewisburg. After graduating, he worked for Frick Co. in Waynesboro and then came to York in 1965 and worked with York International. In 1972, he joined FES Inc., now GEA, and worked there for 32 years until his retirement in 2004. Mr. Jethwa is survived by his brother, Vomesh Jethwa; three sisters, Madhu Parmar, Damyanti Dabhi and Rajni Parmer; and many nieces and nephews living in the surrounding area. The viewing and cremation service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York.
