Vance H. Wolf

YORK – Vance H. Wolf, 91, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Manor Care – Kingston Court. A gathering of friends’ reception will be held from 7-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Full military honors will be held at 7:30 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Private burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery. Born September 23, 1922 in York, a son of the late Henry C. and Celia (Mansberger) Wolf, he was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mr. Wolf then served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a truck driver and retired from Motor Freight Express. Vance was a life member of Hellam VFW. Mr. Wolf is survived by three sons, Barry V. and wife Diane Wolf and William C. and wife Linda Wolf both of York, and Jeffrey H. and wife Marilyn Wolf of Martins Creek, PA; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his older brothers, Ray G. and Bernard W. Wolf. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406.
