Valerie J. (Harbold) Mundis

YORK- Valerie J. (Harbold) Mundis, 56, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. She was the wife of Dwight E. “Ike” Mundis to whom she was married for 30 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Daniel V. Biles officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Born on July 16, 1961 in York, she was a daughter of Raymond E. Harbold and the late Sarah J. (Shotzberger) Harbold. Valerie was a computer operator at Lifetime Brands for 38 years. Mrs. Mundis was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in York. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Pleasureville Legion Post 799 Ladies Auxiliary. Along with her husband, Dwight, Valerie is survived by two sisters, Stephanie Hake and husband, Doug of Dover and Melanie Kling of York; one step son, Bradley Mundis of Hellam; one step daughter, Rebecca Mundis of Yorkanna; two step grandchildren, Damian Mundis and Desiree Myers; one nephew, Cory Kling and wife, Rachel of Mt. Wolf; three nieces, Amy Bates and husband, Bryan of York, Mandy Smith and husband, Thomas of Dillsburg and Jamie Peters of York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt. Joy, PA 17552.
