Valeria R. (Hess) Gross

LEWISBERRY- Valeria R. (Hess) Gross, 88, died on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Emeritus at Creekview in Mechanicsburg. She was the wife of the Niles L. Gross. The couple had been married for over 67 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, with her pastor, the Reverend K. David Haring officiating. A viewing will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Born on January 6, 1926 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Charles C. and Annie (Reynolds) Hess. Valeria was a secretary for Dr. Homer C. Hetrick until her retirement. Mrs. Gross was a member of Parkville Church of the Living God. Valeria enjoyed music, especially playing her guitar, Bible study with her close friends and the outdoors. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Along with her husband, Niles, Valeria is survived by several nieces and nephews.
