V. Keith Penley

York—V. Keith Penley, 56, passed away, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. A graveside tribute will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave, York, with Celebrant Betty M. Frey, officiating. A viewing will be from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Born October 12, 1953 in York, he was a son of Edna (Lane) Pepler of York and Vernon E. Penley of York. He was employed with Schaad Detective Agency in York for 15 years as a night watchman. Keith had a passion for history; he enjoyed reading books and watching movies of historical value. Mr. Penley is survived by his son, John N. Penley of York, 3 granddaughters, one brother, Bink Pepler of York, two sisters, Patti J. Miller of York and Kimberly A. Stine of Union City and nieces and nephews.
