YORK - Troy L. Hoenstine, 60, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved son of Margaret “Peg” (Manges) O’Brien - Yadon and the late S. David Hoenstine.

A viewing for Troy will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Bedford County Memorial Park, 4426 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15533.

Troy was born August 18, 1964 in Windber, PA. Troy was very active with the York County Special Olympics, and participated in many of the events. He was an avid football fan, and always supported Penn State and the Steelers, he also enjoyed watching WWE. Troy had a fun sense of humor and a caring personality. He was a charmer, and had a flirtatious nature. But most importantly, Troy loved his family, and loved every minute spent with them.

In addition to his mother, Troy leaves behind his brother, Greg Hoenstine and his wife Cindy; five step siblings, Frank O’Brien III and his wife Holly, Heather O’Brien, Rick Yadon and his wife Valerie, Leslie Goldbach and her husband Scott, and Michael Yadon and his wife Paola; two nephews, Galen Buckingham and his wife Madi, and Eric Buckingham and his wife Ashley; two great nephews, Asher Buckingham, and Kohen Buckingham; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Troy is preceded in death by two step fathers, Frank O’Brien, and Richard Yadon.
