Treva M. (Lehigh) Gingerich

DOVER TOWNSHIP- Treva M. (Lehigh) Gingerich, 71, of Dover went home to be with the Lord and her husband on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. She was the wife of the late Wayne D. Gingerich. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, 645 Madison Ave. in York, with a visitation from 1-3 p.m. Pastor Richard Godfrey will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. In York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Gingrich was born in Dover on February 1, 1938, a daughter of the late Earl C. and Esther M. (Miller) Lehigh. She worked as a Telephone Operator. Mrs. Gingerich was a member of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Deacon and in numerous other capacities. She was a 1955 graduate of Central York High School. She was a member of and held offices in both Shiloh Lioness Club and Christian Women's Club and was also a volunteer at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys. Mrs. Gingrich leaves a son, Kerry W. Gingerich and his wife Cathleen of Seven Valleys; two daughters, Kim E. Gingerich of Dover and Karen A. Timpona and her husband Steven of Bethel Park; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, William, Emily, Erin, Eli, Joseph, and Daniel; two brothers, David Lehigh and Harold Lehigh; and two sisters, Ruth Crone and Phyllis Morthland. Two sisters, June Snyder and Dorothy Coble had preceded her in death.
