Travis John Garrety

WESTMINSTER, MD-Travis John Garrety, 32, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at his residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 2-3 p.m. The service will be live webcast and can be viewed by searching Travis's obituary at HeffnerCare.com Pastor Chris Lofquist will be officiating at the service. Travis was born in York on April 21, 1990, a son of the late Chris and Norma (Talamantez) Garrety. He was active in high school sports, was a member of Dallastown JROTC, and attended Penn State Hazleton. Travis was famous among friends for his kind spirit and his generosity and enjoyed above all the quality time that he could share with the people in his life. He had a special place in his heart for any and all animals, and was never one to pass by an animal in need. Travis leaves two brothers, Christopher T. Garrety of Baltimore and Michael W. Hamel and his wife Beth of York; three nephews and his aunt and uncle who helped to raise him, Ted and Linda Garrety of York. He also leaves his cousins he grew up with, Chad and Nicholas Garrety and Kynika Dumanski, and his numerous loving family members. Memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N.
