Trabert A. "Bert" Ellis

York—Trabert A. “Bert” Ellis, 44, passed away Saturday, December 03, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Kari L. (Koebnick) Ellis. The couple celebrated 19 years of marriage of September 20th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Seven Valleys Fire Company-Station 62, 35 S Main Street, Seven Valleys with his pastor, the Rev. Mark Billow officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 to 11AM, Saturday at the fire hall. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is charge of arrangements. Born January 9, 1972 in York, he was a son of Trabert H. and D. Darlene (Leicht) Ellis of York. He was employed with Mobile Climate Control as a service technician and previously worked in the HVAC department for Walton & Company and Worden & Shewell. He was a dedicated firefighter, serving several departments over the years. The stations included New Bridgeville Fire Company 39, Seven Valleys Fire Company 62 and most recently North Codorus Fire Company 12. Bert loved hunting and fishing and was a member of St. Paul’s (Zeigler’s) Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys. Bert is also survived by his son, Hunter P. Ellis; one sister, Denise M. Ellis of Jamestown, TN and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy A. Leicht of Dallastown.
