Tomas Malave-Jimenez

YORK – Tomas Malave-Jimenez, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Coatesville VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Nelly E. (Torres) Malave-Jimenez. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 14, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Certified Celebrant, Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will full military honors. Born July 12, 1926 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Jose Rosa Jimenez and the late Maria DelCarmen Martinez; he served in the US Army during The Korean War. Mr. Malave-Jimenez earned numerous medals, commendations and an honorable discharge for his military service. He also enjoyed collection coins. Mr. Jimenez is survived by two sons, Mervin and wife Evelyn Jimenez and Henry and wife Nelcy Jimenez both of Vineland, NJ; two daughters, Brenda and husband Todd Skocki and Betsy and husband David Santiago both of York; 13 grandchildren, Brittany, Thaddeus, Mervin, Cristian, Jose, Zarylin, Anthony, Noah, Elly, David, Josiah, Seth, and Seraphina; and three great grandchildren, Victor, Alex, and Aria.
