York—Timothy P. Ott, 21, died from injuries sustained as a result of an automobile accident, Thursday, October 25, 2007. He was the son of Randy L. and Shirley M. (Rice) Ott of York. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave., York, with his pastor, the Rev. Gregory D. Wahlberg. The burial will be held in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Cemetery. Viewings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Tim was born April 25, 1986 in York. He graduated from Red Lion Christian School in 2005 and was a junior at Pensacola Christian College, with a major in Pastoral Studies and a minor in Missions. He was a member of the Epsilon Chi Delta (Vipers) Collegians. Tim was a pastoral intern with the Rev. Mike Smith at Bellingrath Road Baptist Church in Theodore, Alabama, and assisted with the ministries at the Horizons Bayside Manor nursing home and the York County Prison ministries. He was planning to intern at Calvary Baptist Church this coming summer. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed basketball, weightlifting, golf, and online stock trading. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his brother, Thomas P. Ott and his wife, Mindy of York; his three sisters, Teresa M. Ott and her husband, Ryan Culpepper of Toronto, Ontario, Tabitha J. Ott of York, and Treva L. Johnson and her husband, Donnie of Lake Wales, Florida; his niece, Kaitlin M. Ott; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Timothy P. Ott Funeral Tribute Fund, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, and may be designated for funeral expenses or for CBC youth ministries.
