Thomas 'Tom' E. Banks

WILLIAMSPORT - Thomas “Tom” E. Banks, 60, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Tom was born on September 19, 1953 in Williamsport and was the son of the late John W. and Edith (Laubscher) Banks. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School, then attended W.A.C.C. and earned an associates degree. He owned and operated Banks Disposal until 2004. Tom enjoyed camping, watching the Steelers and the Yankee’s, racecars, and trains. He loved spending time with his cat ‘Cali’. Tom is survived by one son; Edward Thomas Banks of Williamsport, two daughters; Robin M. Young and Tabitha A. Berninger both of Williamsport, one granddaughter; Love S. Young of Williamsport, two brothers and one sister-in-law; David and Sharon Banks of Pensacola, FL and Gene Banks of PA, one sister and brother-in-law; Margaret “Peggy” and Bob Swaine of Pensacola, FL, one sister-in-law; Louise Hall Beck of South Williamsport, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one brother; Phillip Banks and a baby sister Mary Elizabeth Banks. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to; L.A.P.S., 195 Phillips Park Drive #6, S. Williamsport PA 17702. Services for Tom will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
