RED LION – Thomas P. Breen, 56, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was the husband of Lori A. (Koontz) Breen to whom he was married for 25 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main Street, Dallastown with his pastor, The Rev. Roger Mentzer officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 21, 1960 in York, a son of the late Betty V. (Mann) and James C. Breen, Sr., he was a 1978 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and attended York College of PA. Tom was a self-employed contractor and an active member at Bethlehem U.M. Church. He enjoyed volunteering on frequent mission trips to help build housing and a conference center for the Caribbean Center for the Deaf in Jamaica. As a young adult, Tom played competitive softball and was a coach with the Dallastown Jr. High Football program. He loved spending his time with the loves of his life, his grandsons, and fishing on his boat in the ocean off Delaware. In addition to his wife, Mr. Breen is survived by two daughters, Kelly M. and husband Lucas Blizzard and Kristin A. and husband Robert Gaynor both of York; two grandsons, Jonah and Hayden Blizzard; two brothers, James Breen, Jr. and wife Carmen and Timothy Breen and wife Brenda both of York; two sisters, Susan Baublitz and husband Thomas and Ann Leader and husband Robert both of York; a sister in law, Beth Breen of Wrightsville; and his Jack Russell “Lexi.” He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and John Breen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem U.M. Church, c/o Mission Fund, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313.
