Thomas P. Bell

WILKES-BARRE-Thomas P. Bell, 72, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at his residence. Born in Exeter on April 30, 1937, he was a son of Gladys Bell of Exeter, and the late Thomas Bell. Thomas was a high school graduate and served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed running his business, Bell Home Improvement for 30 years. In August of 1962, Thomas married Mary Ann Pesta with whom he enjoyed 48 years of marriage before his passing. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he also liked being with his two dogs. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Bell. Surviving are wife, the former Mary Ann Pesta; son, Thomas Bell, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Robert Bell and his wife, Joanie, Harding; John Bell and his wife, Pamela, Exeter; and sister, Mary Wascalis, New York. Thomas will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with Deacon Bradigan officiating. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
