Thomas L. Weist POTTSVILLE-Thomas L. Weist, 71, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. He was born in Pottsville on September 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Melvin and Helen Gallagher Weist. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Pottsville. He was a life member of the West End Hose Co., Pottsville. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Felker; his two brothers, Donald and Royce Weist. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor J. Sharockman Weist, to whom he was married 52 years; his daughter , Melanie Johnson, of St. Clair; his two sons, Melvin Weist, husband of Mary Ann, of Pottsville and Thomas Weist, husband of Deborah, of Pottsville; his 7 grandchildren, Gilbert and Jennifer Johnson, Shannon, Constance, Adrienne, Rebecca and Rachel Weist; his three Great grandchildren, Kaylee Wychunas, Alexis Spirko and Heidi Wychunas; his two brothers, Robert Weist, Levittown, PA and Michael Weist, New Castle, DE; several nieces and nephews.
