Thomas L. Markle

YORK- Thomas L. “Tom” Markle, 57, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was the husband of Denise S. (Smith) Markle to whom he was married for 35 years. Services for Mr. Markle are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on July 8, 1960 in York, he was a son of Martha (Wildasin) Markle of York and the late Merle E. Markle, Sr. Over the years, Tom was a machine operator at York Casket, KBA Motter Corporation and Stanley Tools. Mr. Markle was a member of Prince Athletic Association, BD Social Club, West York VFW Post 8951, Vigilant Social Club, 13th Ward Political Club and South End Democratic Club. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always made everyone smile. He will be missed by many. Along with his wife, Denise, Tom is survived by his son, Corey Markle and wife, Krystal of York; grandson, Rylan Thomas Markle; two sisters, Carol Stayrook and husband, Neil of Spring Grove and Sandy Markle of York; numerous nieces and nephews; and all of the in laws. He was preceded in death by one brother, Merle E. Markle, Jr.; and one sister, Patricia Markle. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
