Thomas J. "Tommy" Martin

YORK - Thomas J. “Tommy” Martin, 58, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A viewing will be held from 6:00PM to 7:00PM an hour before the service. Due to the indoor gathering restrictions, attendees are asked to follow the PA COVID-19 guidelines. (Kirckpatrick) the late George W. Martin. A 1981 graduate of West York High, Tommy worked for 25 years as the Sr. Buyer with Graham Packaging. He was involved in the following clubs: Prince, Viking, Hawks, Loyal Order of the Moose and the West York VFW. Tommy was an avid camper and sports fan. He loved NASCAR, the Washington Nationals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was even known to volunteer at the National All-Star games. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Mary of York; two brothers, Russell J. Martin of Belle Vernon, David G. Martin and his wife, Barbara of Springfield, VA; two nieces, Samantha J. Martin of Belle Vernon, Laura (Martin) Sweeney of Alexandria, VA; nephew Gregory D. Martin of Alexandria, VA; grand-nephew, William Sweeney of Alexandria, VA; and long-time companion, Dawn Mervine of York.
