Thomas Eskimo Jadro

DOVER - Thomas "Eskimo" Jadro, 82, died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth E. [Fattman] Jadro with whom he was married for 60 years on October 26, 2006. Funeral services and private burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born January 11, 1925 in Ketchikan, Alaska a son of the late Thomas Jadro, Sr., he was a truck driver for 27 years with Consolidated Freightways. Following his retirement he worked a number of years at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Mr. Jadro is survived by three sons, Earl T. and wife Kim Jadro of Concord, NC, Gary E. Jadro of York, and Denny W. and wife Melodie Jadro of Dover; two daughters, Linda D. and husband Daniel Watson of Shiloh and Janet L. Shaffer and companion Jim Gooch of Dover; 12 grandchildren, Wendy, Brandon, Angie, Melissa, Dylan, Jeremy, Dustin, Josh, Dereck, and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406 or to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
