York—Thomas D. Nirosky, 71, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Gallagher) Nirosky to whom he was married for 40 years. A Memorial Mass will be held 11AM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 219 S. Beaver St., York with his pastor, the Rev. Fr. Keith M. Carroll officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 15, 1946 in New Britain, CT, he was a son of the late Theodore E. and Helen M. (Carroll) Nirosky. He was employed as a Trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police for 25 years until his retirement in 1996. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved spending time with family and traveling. A member of the Hawks Gunning Club, Viking Athletic Assoc., York Rifleman and Schuylkill Valley Rod & Gun Club and was a Sgt in the Ranger Unit of the United States Army. In addition to his wife, Thomas is also survived by one daughter, Nicole E. Nirosky of York and her significant other, Timothy Pasch; one sister, Elayne Cox of Reading and nieces and nephews. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic School, 235 S. Beaver Street, York, Pa 17401.
