Thomas C. "Tom" Parry

NEW COLUMBIA - Thomas C. “Tom” Parry, 77, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was born in Mount Carmel on April 09, 1938 and was the son of the late Lemuel and Alice (Becker) Parry. On August 03, 1957 Thomas married the former Shirley L. (Sharer) who survives, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage together. Tom was a graduate of Higins Township High School Class 1955. Prior to graduating from high school Thomas worked on the family farm in Lavale. He was a Corporal for the Pennsylvania State Police and retired after 27 years in 1991. Tom was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Columbia, the Susquehanna Basset Hound Club, the Gold Wing Road Riders Motorcycle Club and the Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to his wife Shirley, Tom is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Dean T. and Ann Marie Parry of Danville and Dan C. and Gretchen Parry of Baltimore, MD, one daughter and son-in-law; Dawn S. and Robert Skiles of Northumberland, five grandchildren; Joshua Parry, Tabitha Parry, Katie Parry, Nathan Parry and Jacob Parry and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 257 Third Street, New Columbia, PA 17856. A memorial service for Tom will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 257 Third Street, New Columbia, PA 17856. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
