Therman D. Cordrey

STEWARTSTOWN – Therman D. Cordrey, 98, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 while with his daughter in Ft. Myers, FL. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Bowser) Cordrey to whom he was married for 69 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 6881 Church Rd., Felton with his pastor, The Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:00 PM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Cross Roads U.M. Cemetery. Born September 21, 1916 in Cannon, Delaware; a son of the late William and Birdie (Wooten) Cordrey, he graduated from Lower Chanceford High School. He furthered his education with college, various employer trainings and life's hard work. He was the service manager at the former Bartenslager Chevrolet in Rinely and a longtime mechanic for various companies. Mr. Cordrey also served as a N. Hopewell Twp. Supervisor. He was a member of Cross Roads U.M. Mr. Cordrey is survived by a daughter, Maxine A. and husband Michael Hoffner of Millersburg, PA; a granddaughter, Teryn M. and husband Bruce Reiner of Millersburg; and a sister, G. Marie Flaharty of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Cordrey. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads U.M., 6881 Church Rd., Felton, PA 17322.
