Theresa (Renfer) Ratchford

PITTSTON TOWNSHIP-Theresa (Renfer) Ratchford, 55, of Suscon Rd., Pittston Twp., died Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Mercy Hospital Scranton. Born in Newark, New Jersey on November 3, 1951, she was the daughter of Irene Renfer of Pittston Twp and was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca. A daughter, Coleen Ratchford, preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons, Robert and James, both at home; daughters Marie (Kenneth) Hoover, Duryea and Kathy (Mark) Sudol, Dupont; 14 grandchildren; sister, Peggy Jean Renfer. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Avoca. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
