Theresa K. Gallagher

Theresa K. Gallagher, 61, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the companion of Larry Damm of Manchester. Born June 18, 1949 in Gallitzin, PA, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Cecelia (Gailey) Gallagher. She had a 24 year career in data processing at Caterpillar Inc., York Plant, and retired when the plant closed. Most recently she worked at Associated Wholesalers Inc. Ms. Gallagher was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was an avid reader, seamstress, and doting grandmother. Theresa is survived by a daughter, Genevieve M. and husband Chad Wood of Emmitsburg, MD and their children, Broden and Kaila; a son, Ryan J. Lilly of York and his daughter, Carrion Lover Lilly; Kim Lover of York; two brothers, Clarence Sonny Gallagher of York Haven and Paul Gallagher of York; three sisters, Rita Gall of Manchester, Irene Sylvester of Duncansville, PA, and Alice Boston of Altoona. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gallagher. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 231 S. Beaver Street, York with her priest, The Rev. Samuel E. Houser officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
