Five years later he married Mary Hennigh Brooks, they celebrated six years together until her death in Dec. 1999. Ted is survived by three children, Linda L. (James) Meckley, Theodore J. He had continued ushering up until he hurt his leg a few months ago. Ted faithfully served 21 years as a volunteer at Susque View Home helping others hear God’s word. He loved the mountains he lived in and enjoyed hunting and fishing up until his last few years. He told many stories of his adventures as a young man hunting and fishing and when he joined the C.C. Camp when he was 19 years old. He lived a good full life doing what he loved to do. Even this past summer having his garden, he loved raising tomatoes and green beans enough to share with everyone. He started working at Piper Aircraft in 1940, then left for a couple of years and worked at the Silk Mill for a couple of years then returned to Piper and worked there for over 35 years. He loved life and continued to live in his own home up until a few days before his illness.
