YORK – Theodore G. Keeports, 88, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Manor Care – South. He was the husband of the late Isabel L. (McCleary) Keeports. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Ronald L. Doverspike officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born May 17, 1929 in Red Lion, a son of the late Paul and Verna (Gohn) Keeports, he was a graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Mr. Keeports retired from Standard Register Co. in 1992 after 34 years of service. He was a member of Bethany U.M. Church, enjoyed photography, playing the organ, completing puzzles and going out to eat. Mr. Keeports was a US Army Veteran of The Korean War. Mr. Keeports is survived by a daughter, Deborah C. Keeports of Lancaster; a brother, Dean Keeports of York; a brother in law, K. Loren and wife Myrtle McCleary of York; a sister in law, Ruth Truscott of Surprise, AZ; and 12 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany U.M. Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion, PA 17356 or to American Red Cross, 724 S. George Street, York, PA 17401.
