RED LION- Theodore F. “Ted” Arnold, 93, formerly of Brogueville passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Normandie Ridge in York. He was the husband of Ara M. (Starner) Arnold. The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Mr. Arnold was born in Windsor on October 2, 1923, the son of the late Benjamin and Helen (Majewski) Arnold. He retired from New Era Die Company in Red Lion. Mr. Arnold was a member of Dallastown American Legion and Red Lion American Legion. He was a former member of Hawk’s Gunning Club and Red Lion Country Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed NASCAR. He served in the US Army in WWII in Saipan. Mr. Arnold leaves two sons, Jeffrey L. Arnold of York and Steven L. Arnold and his husband Ronald Messner of York; a daughter Ara Kimberly McPherson and her husband Michael of Felton; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Chad, and Brandy; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Carter, and Chloe; a sister, Joann Urey of York and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason, two brothers, Richard M. Arnold and Harold D. “Bud” Arnold; and three sisters, Betty Y. Keller, Audrey W. Maxon, and Marie Kauffman.
