York—Thelma R. (Brown) Earnst, 97, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Jack D. Earnst. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born August 19, 1920 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie (Eckert) Brown. She was a small business owner of Thelma’s Ceramics, where she made and taught ceramics. A former den mother, she also enjoyed making ceramics and loved flowers. Mrs. Earnst is survived by a daughter, Victoria Mason and husband, Arthur of East Berlin; a son, Vernon L. Little and wife, Judy of East Berlin; six grandchildren, Barbara Nickle, Beverly Ebersole, Lisa Mason, Lori Crone, Rhonda Rowland and Troy Little; 17 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Jennifer Ebersole. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc., Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Pa 17110 or Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
