Thelma J. Maughlin

Thelma J. (Livingston) Maughlin, 69, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late William T. Maughlin who passed away in 2019.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 04, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Born June 22, 1955 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Donald R. Livingston Sr, and the late Doris E. (Gross) Livingston.

She was employed for several years with Electronic Manufacturing Services Group until her retirement in 2019. Her previous employment included Galt Controls and J.M. Fields.

A member of Paradise (Holtzschwamm) Evangelical Covenant Church – Thomasville, Pleasureville American Legion – Post 799 and York County Racing Club, she also enjoyed camping, loved all her pet cats, bingo and sprint car racing.

Mrs. Maughlin is survived by two step daughters, Melissa Brosend of York and Maxine Smith and her husband, Tony of Gettysburg; step grandchildren, Dee Dee, Greta and Caleb; one sister, Faye Furr and her husband, Robert Jr., of Hanover; two brothers, Gearld Livingston of New Oxford and Jeffrey Livingston and his wife, Darla of Thomasville; companion, Cy Zimmer and his family; best friend, Michael Alyn of Phoenix, AZ and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two step sons, Michael Maughlin and William Maughlin; two brothers, Barry Livingston and Donald Livingston Jr.
