LOCK HAVEN -Thelma L. Fravel went into the Gates of Heaven to be with the Lord on April 3, 2012 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport, PA. Thelma was born on June 3, 1926 in Mill Hall, PA. She was one of ten children to Clyde and Emma Libby Mauck of Mill Hall. Thelma was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a loyal friend to many. She was a caregiver to her mother, father, sisters and brothers. At Woodward Meadows where she resided, she took many meals to neighbors who were ill or who just needed a friend. Thelma was known for her compassionate and giving ways. She loved her Children Kathy (Larry) Rodabaugh of Lancaster, PA and Adele (Don) Leisenring of Lock Haven, PA.When grandchildren came into the world she loved her new role as a grandmother to Krista (Zane) Renzo, Amy (Bret) Mitchell, Jennifer (David) Gallie, Brian Rodabaugh, and Matthew Leisenring.Next came great grandchildren whom she called Sweet Gianna (Renzo), Brady Boy (Mitchell) and Little Emma (Gallie). They gave her so much joy and pleasure. Thelma is survived by her husband, Paul R. Fravel. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Jolene Walker of Salona and Pauline Bartholomew of Mill Hall; and two brothers, Marlo (Janice) Mauck of Beech Creek and Jay (Meta) Mauck of Larryville. In earlier years Thelma worked at Klewan’s Clothing Store in Lock Haven and Uncle Joes Woodshed. Her most important job was that of Mother and Grandmother. Our Mother will forever be in our hearts and will be a great addition to heaven where she will reside in peace until we meet her again. The funeral service will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Chaplain Davd Fishel officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 6:30 – 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers.
