Thelma D. Frey

YORK – Thelma D. (Lentz) Frey, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the wife of the late Harold K. Frey. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Born April 14, 1926 in York, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Jennie M. (Peiffer) Lentz, she graduated from West York High School. Mrs. Frey retired from Pleasant Acres Nursing Home where she worked as an LPN. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, York. Thelma was an avid animal lover, especially her English Springer and Cocker Spaniels, and enjoyed drawing. Mrs. Frey is survived by four sons, David J. Frey and fiancé, Megan Rishaw of Mt. Wolf, Mark L. Frey and his girlfriend Penny Hilbert of Dover, Kenneth L. Frey and wife Sandy of Pensacola, FL and Donald R. Frey and wife Evelyn of Lake Okeechobee, FL; four grandchildren, Lukas, Elizabeth, Tammy, and Jim Frey; two great grandchildren; a niece, Evelyn Lew of York and Penny Hilbert’s son, Glenn Null. She was preceded in death by three brothers and nine sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
