Thalia (Campbell) Morgan

TROY- Thalia (Campbell) Morgan, 85, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Howard W. “Bill” Morgan who passed away on October 26, 1994. The couple shared 49 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Thalia’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11th at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Charsky of Laurel Hospice officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Cemetery. Thalia was born on September 20, 1926 in Troy, PA, daughter of the late John and Grace (Wood) Campbell. She was Bill’s helper around the farm, but more over was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. To Thalia her family was most important. She enjoyed family gatherings and always had a pot of coffee on for visitors. She was a member of the United Church in Troy and enjoyed playing bingo and going fishing. Thalia is survived by her children; Doris (John) Knaus of Pittsburgh, PA, Vivian Morgan and Linda Morgan, both of Mansfield, PA, William E. (Deanna) Morgan of Troy, PA, Marjorie (Terry) Miller of Millersburg, PA and Eugene Morgan of Mansfield, PA, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, her bother Floyd (Tiny) Campbell of Corning, along with several nieces and nephews. Thalia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, her brothers; Sam, Warren, John, and Earl Campbell, and her sisters; Dorothy Turner and Shirley Evans.
