Terry R. Leiphart, Sr.

DALLASTOWN - Terry R. Leiphart, Sr., 65, formerly of Red Lion, died at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services - South. He was the husband of the late Betty B. (Wales) Leiphart who died May 8, 1998. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Leiphart was born January 14, 1942, in York. He was the son of Geraldine A. (Handshaw) Leiphart of York and the late Richard D. Leiphart. He was a Tool & Die Maker / Engineer with Stewart Connector, a division of Bel Fuse, in Glen Rock where he worked for the past 16 years. He was a 1959 graduate of York High and enjoyed fishing, boating and working on his oil paintings. He was also an avid sports fan following Penn State football and the Baltimore Orioles. In addition to his mother, Mr. Leiphart leaves his son, Terry R. Leiphart, Jr. of York; three daughters, Dawn E. Miller of Stewartstown, Christine A. Leiphart of York and Karen M. Fitterling of Dover; eight grandchildren; a sister, Sharon A. Brenner of York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
