GLENVILLE- Terry L. Hemler, 63, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of C. Joyce (Ertel) Hemler, with whom he has spent the past 21 years. Mr. Hemler was born on March 14, 1948 in Hanover, a son of the late Albert J. and Joyce M. (Feeser) Hemler. He was the foster son of the late Donald Small and his wife, Hattie Small of Glen Rock. Terry was the owner of Hemler Animal Control, which handles nuisance animals, and Dog Law Enforcement for many of York County’s municipalities for almost 25 years. In his younger days, he was President of the Seekers MCC, drove truck for several OTR companies and served as bouncer at Finley’s. He also operated TG’s Bait Box and CJ’s Live Bait. Terry was an avid fisherman and loved salt water fishing. He cherished the 18 days he spent each year fishing the Atlantic Ocean. Along with his wife, Joyce, Terry is survived by his daughters, Paula Santos and her husband, David and Amy Black and her husband, Doug; and stepdaughters, Melissa and Heather. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee, Jr. and daughter, Jennifer Hemler. He leaves at home, grandson, Zac Hemler and grandsons, Christopher, Ryan and baby Billy as well as great grandson Landyn. Alonzo, Alissa, Deon and Doris affectionately called him Grandpa. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Terry will one day soon swim with the sharks as per his wishes.
