SEVEN VALLEYS- Terry L. Fackler, 70, of Springfield Township, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Constance “Connie” (Grothey) Fackler. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on October 5, 2012. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4767 Lehman Road, Spring Grove (Stoverstown). His pastor, The Reverend Bradley H. Dayett will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 7-9 pm on Tuesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York and from 10-11 am Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Loganville. Born on April 17, 1943 in York, Terry was a son of the late Lester Wagner and Vivian (Rehmeyer) Fackler. He was preceded in death by his step-father Daniel Fackler. He was a 1961 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Terry was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stoverstown. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 430, Dallastown American Legion Post 605, Goldwing Riders Chapter K, Venture Touring Society, Holiday Ramblers, and Dreamer’s Camping Club. Terry enjoyed riding his Harley’s for 17 years, Yamaha’s for 30 years and Victory motorcycles for two years. He was an avid softball player for the York leagues for 30 years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Fackler is survived by his son, Randy L. Fackler and wife Sheri of Hershey; daughter, Terri L. Deiter and husband Scott of Wellsville; five grandchildren, Charlie, Katie, and Caroline Fackler, and Carly and Ashley Deiter; brother, Ray Wagner of Palmyra, VA; sisters, Charlotte Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO and Mary Jane Snyder of Wilmington, DE; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Fackler is preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Hess and a sister, Doris Grace. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4767 Lehman Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
