Terry L. Eckenrode

YORK- Terry L. Eckenrode, 70, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Ruth Anna (Burkenhiser) Eckenrode to whom he was married for 50 years. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Faith Evangelical Congregational Church with the Reverend Michael Nagy officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 14, 1944 in York, he was the son of the late Melvin and Maime (Brown) Eckenrode. Terry was an upholsterer for TR Tailor and also worked for Zell Brothers. Mr. Eckenrode was a member of the York Racing Club and Motor Menders Rod & Custom Car Club. He was an avid sprint car enthusiast. Along with his wife, Ruth, Terry is survived by one daughter, Tammy Alexander and her husband, John of Greenwood, IN; one son, Terry Reisinger of York; two grandchildren, Justin Michael Alexander and Katlyn Michelle Alexander; and one great granddaughter, Hazel Lee Miner.
